House Party? What's that?
A 'F Word' house party is an event where you host and invite your friends, allies, family, and supporters to watch "The F Word' short. The director might come for the screening and talk about the film, or it might just be you. You encourage folks to discuss and ask questions about femme, gender, femininity or how art changes the world and then you ask your friends to support the film by making a generous donation to Ladyking Productions. You can make it a theme party! with decorations or just provide food and drink. It's up to you.

What better way to appreciate femmes than to see a film short all about femmes? Plus you will be supporting the completion of this historical, cool, thought-provoking documentary on femme artists in Seattle.

Femmes are a sub-group of the LGBT community that rarely gets recognition, and yet femmes are artists, activists, genderqueer, sex-positive, revolutionary people who enrich queer communities across the world. Whether you are a femme or you are an ally this is a great opportunity to support a film that delves into a femme led renaissance of queer political art.

What's 'The F Word' short?
'The F Word' short is a sample of the interviewees answering the question 'What does femme mean to you?'. The first 7 or 8 fem! mes interviewed for 'The F Word: Femmes, Femininity and a New Feminism' are included in this short. For femmes around the world this is a very complicated question that continuely changes and expands. These Seattle femmes talk about the uniqueness of femme and how it intertwines with gender, ethnicity, class, age and sexuality. They challenge the concept of gender as well as broaden the traditional notions of femininity and feminism.

The short is available in VHS or DVD format.
